Industrial Automation & Manufacturing

Industrial Automation & Manufacturing

We support manufacturers and equipment teams with industrial integration, production test software and data visibility. An engagement can cover a defined machine interface, a quality-data workflow or automation support around an existing PLC/SCADA environment.

THE ENGINEERING CHALLENGE

Why this work matters.

Production information is often split between machines, spreadsheets and separate quality systems. Manual collection makes it harder to trace a failed test or investigate a recurring issue. We help define the interfaces, collect agreed data and make it usable for production and engineering teams.

TECHNICAL SCOPE

The work we can scope with you.

The proposal identifies which activities are included and how they will be accepted.

01

PLC / SCADA integration support

Review the existing control environment and scope the required software interfaces, signals and data exchanges with your automation team.

02

Production test automation

Develop test sequences and result capture for agreed product or component checks, including failure handling and traceable test records.

03

Equipment data collection

Connect agreed data sources, validate incoming records and organise production or quality information for downstream use.

04

Quality dashboards

Create views of agreed measures such as test outcomes, recurring failures and data completeness, with clear definitions for each metric.

05

Industrial software interfaces

Support integration between equipment-level software and business or engineering applications, subject to approved network and access arrangements.

06

Commissioning and handover support

Agree a validation plan, document deployment steps and support customer-led commissioning during the agreed project window.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

What your team takes forward.

Outputs are defined in the agreed work package. These are typical assets that can be included, rather than a fixed bundle for every engagement.

How we agree quality and acceptance →
  • 01Interface and data-flow specification
  • 02Integration or test software
  • 03Data definitions and validation rules
  • 04Agreed dashboard views
  • 05Deployment and rollback instructions
  • 06Commissioning results and handover notes

ILLUSTRATIVE ENGAGEMENT

A practical starting scope.

For one production cell, a pilot can capture test results from an agreed source, validate identifiers and display first-pass outcomes and recurring failures. Success is assessed against the agreed data accuracy, refresh behaviour and operator workflow, rather than an unverified productivity promise.

Choose the delivery model

A specialist can join your team, a work package can deliver defined outputs, or a recurring workstream can support ongoing development and testing.

GETTING STARTED

The inputs that make delivery possible.

  • Equipment and interface inventory
  • Sample production / quality data
  • Approved network and access arrangements
  • Site owner, operational constraints and test window

SERVICE QUESTIONS

Before you choose the scope.

Do we have to replace our current control systems?

No. Discovery focuses on the current environment and whether an integration or reporting layer can meet the requirement. System replacement is a separate decision.

Can a pilot be limited to one production line?

Yes. A single line, cell or data source is often a useful scope for validating interfaces and acceptance criteria before wider rollout.

DEFINE THE NEXT STEP

Bring us a specific challenge.

We will discuss the scope, delivery model and inputs needed to move it forward.
