EV & Electrification Testing

EV & Electrification Testing

We support software-led verification for battery-management functions, charging communication and electrified powertrain interfaces. The work focuses on agreed software behaviour, simulation, automated checks and engineering evidence within the customer’s approved environment.

THE ENGINEERING CHALLENGE

Why this work matters.

Electrification functions combine software, signals and state transitions. Teams need to understand normal operation, boundary conditions and fault responses without losing track of software versions and test assumptions. We help organise those checks into a repeatable verification scope.

TECHNICAL SCOPE

The work we can scope with you.

The proposal identifies which activities are included and how they will be accepted.

01

BMS software verification

Define tests for agreed battery-management software functions, signal interpretation, operating states and diagnostic responses.

02

Charging communication

Verify agreed message exchanges, session states and error paths at the software and communication interface level.

03

Simulation and test scripting

Develop automated scenarios in available simulation or customer-approved test environments, with repeatable inputs and recorded outputs.

04

Boundary and fault scenarios

Scope checks for invalid signals, interrupted communication and recovery behaviour according to the customer’s requirements and safety procedures.

05

Log analysis and reporting

Organise signal logs, identify repeatable failures and produce evidence linking observed behaviour to the tested software version.

06

Integration verification

Support checks across the agreed battery, charging and controller interfaces, with clear ownership of each integration dependency.

TYPICAL DELIVERABLES

What your team takes forward.

Outputs are defined in the agreed work package. These are typical assets that can be included, rather than a fixed bundle for every engagement.

ILLUSTRATIVE ENGAGEMENT

A practical starting scope.

A charging-software team can start with session initiation, interruption and recovery. The work package defines the interface expectations, automates agreed sequences, analyses failures and provides a repeatable regression set. This is an illustrative scope, not a completed customer project.

Example scope · not a customer case study

Choose the delivery model

A specialist can join your team, a work package can deliver defined outputs, or a recurring workstream can support ongoing development and testing.

GETTING STARTED

The inputs that make delivery possible.

  • Function and interface requirements
  • Approved software or simulation environment
  • Test data, logs and version information
  • Customer safety procedures and technical owners

SERVICE QUESTIONS

Before you choose the scope.

Is this a battery hardware certification service?

The standard scope is software and interface verification. Any physical test activity needs a separately agreed facility, qualified personnel and customer-approved safety arrangements.

Can we start before production hardware is available?

A simulation-led scope may be possible when models, interfaces and expected behaviour are sufficiently defined. Its limitations are documented explicitly.

DEFINE THE NEXT STEP

Bring us a specific challenge.

We will discuss the scope, delivery model and inputs needed to move it forward.
